Investigating the causes of crimes and violations of conscripts from a criminological perspective and strategies for dealing with them

The present study was conducted with an applied purpose and its method includes describing and analyzing the content of qualitative data obtained from sources and legal scientific texts and internal documents related to the research topic.The main goal of this study is to investigate the causes of crimes and violations of conscripts from a criminological perspective and to provide strategies for dealing with these issues.The results of this study show that from the perspective of criminological approaches, external factors have a greater impact on the occurrence of crimes and violations of conscripts than internal factors.Among external factors,family,economic, cultural and psychological factors have the greatest impact,respectively.Also,among internal factors, after the commanders' interactions,interpersonal interactions,legal and structural issues, organizational welfare facilities,the type of task assigned and the training method are more important. To prevent the occurrence of crimes and violations of soldiers, the armed forces must control or neutralize all of these factors as much as possible. Soldiers who lack social, economic, and family support are more likely to commit crimes and violations. Therefore, by implementing measures such as informing employees about the consequences of committing crimes and violations, empowering them,observing meritocracy and merit-based selection in selecting employees and managers, paying attention to economic and structural problems,dealing quickly and promptly with crimes and violations, especially in educational centers, strengthening religious beliefs, paying attention to the authenticity and family background of individuals and also dealing decisively and effectively with criminals and violators,the occurrence of crimes and violations among conscripts can be controlled and reduced
