Economic corruption imposes huge costs on the society, and at the same time, due to their complex form, it is difficult to discover and pursue them. Therefore, a decisive criminal policy is required. This research aims to examine the criminal policy of the Iranian legislator in dealing with financial and economic corruption and with emphasis on the provisions of the new Islamic Penal Law approved in 2013, and has come to the conclusion that in the new Islamic Penal Law despite the use of The term "economic crimes" has not been given a specific definition for economic crime, and these crimes have not been counted, and in this sense, the law has not taken the first step in the decisive fight against economic corruption. However, according to the total of Articles 35, 47 and 109 of the new Islamic Penal Code, we can get limited examples of economic crimes, which include the crimes listed in the note of Article 36 and the crime of fraud. Also, in the new Islamic Penal Law, it is possible to classify economic crimes according to the Riyal amount of the crime and divide them into small, medium and large. Legislators in the fight against medium and large crimes by taking strict criminal measures in determining and implementing punishment, such as the requirement to publicize large economic criminals, the deprivation of medium and large economic criminals from postponing the issuance of sentences and suspending punishment, and depriving them of the privilege of review. During the prosecution and execution of the punishment, he has tried to emphasize the certainty and certainty of the execution of the punishment in order to prevent criminal economic crimes. However, solutions such as conditional release, the possibility of repentance in extreme crimes such as corruption in the world and private amnesty, which generally includes all crimes and criminals, have left openings for the certainty and certainty of the execution of punishments in economic crimes.
